Heat Exchanger 'U' Tubes
'U' Tubes
Materials - carbon steel, alloy steels, stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper based alloys, titanium.
'U' tubes can be supplied with starting tube length up to 45 metres.
Low fin tubes can be 'U' bent with the bent area either pain or finned. Generally the tighter bends have the bend area plain.

Possible dimensions:
- Tube o/d: 12.7mm up to 50.8mm
- Leg length: up to 20 metres
- Bend radius (centre line radius): 1.5 x tube o/d up to 1500mm
- Bend centres (centre to centre): up to 3000mm
- Bend area: heat treatment of the bend area + approx 150mm of the straight leg. With stainless steel and nickel alloys the bore is normally purged with argon during the heat treatment process. Removal of the oxide layer is possible.
- Testing: the completed 'U' tube is normally hydrostatically tested in accordance with the standard.
- Tolerances: in accordance with TEMA standards.
- Quality: close inspection monitoring thinning, ovality, bend radius, leg length, testing.
- Certification: EN10204 3.1.B and in accordance with clients' requirements.
