Extruded Fin Tubes

 

Extruded

The fins are formed by rotary cold rolling a smooth, thick walled aluminium tube which has been slid over a core tube (of the required material specification). The aluminium is extruded upwards and progressively and uniformly thinned until screw like fins of the required profile are formed. This rolling process produces an exact and accurate connection between the core tube and the finned outer jacket producing good heat transfer conditions. An additional advantage is that the aluminium finned jacket provides complete protection of the core tube against atmospheric corrosion.

Extruded Serrated

This fin is produced in the same way as the extruded fin and has the additional feature of longitudinal slots in the outer periphery and inclined fin tips. This increases the air turbulence and increases the overall heat transfer. This type of fin is normally supplied on a 25mm od or 25.4mm od core tube with a fin outside diameter of 57mm with 24 slots around the periphery.

Zinc Ring Tube Supports

Top Technical

Finned tubes can be supplied with solid zinc ring tube supports. Two types can be supplied - Zinc Collar type or Alu-Zinc Collar type. The zinc rings give excellent tube support.
